Helen is an amazing, thoughtful host who puts so much love and care into everything. It felt very personal. The place itself had everything you could possibly need and more.

We loved how warm and welcoming Helen was; the place had everything you need for a comfortable stay and then some. The cozy atmosphere, cleanliness, and view were all great. Nothing to add.
The host tried to anticipate and provide everything you might appreciate while staying at her immaculate property, from electric blankets to chocolate biscuits, fresh juice, and fruit, and even adjusted the heating to suit your needs. Personally, I find driving up steep hills challenging—maybe it’s my age, 70, that makes me want easier access. Still, the view was worth it.

The views were fabulous, the beds and linens sumptuous, and the rooms immaculate with tasteful, thoughtful touches. The host was super friendly and went out of her way to keep us comfortable. The bathroom and bath were divine, offering an incredible view over Oamaru and the ocean.
