“It was a 世外桃源”
The surroundings are very tranquil, with a beautiful view that cools you down. Bring extra clothing when it’s windy. The staff are polite and helpful, even going the extra mile to cut a pineapple we had bought on the way. The kitchen is open 24/7 and offers a free flow of biscuits and drinks—coffee, tea, green tea. They also serve a buffet breakfast for RM 10 per person, and lunch and dinner are available but must be pre‑booked before 7 pm the previous day. We ate both dinner and breakfast there; they cook well, and they can even do steamboat! I’d consider hosting a family reunion in this “Switzerland” of Malaysia. A restaurant within walking distance can serve as an alternative dining spot. The property includes a bungalow and a two‑storey building with hotel rooms, a family hall, and meeting rooms that can accommodate up to a hundred guests—perfect for a retreat. Getting to the road is easy and not too far. The only downside is that to reach Kundasang you have to travel by road… fly into KK and hire a car or use a local transport company. The latter is preferable because the road can be windy, foggy, and sometimes tricky, so a familiar driver is needed.
