“No heads up for any changes!”
From what we experienced, there was nothing to like about this place.
We booked a double deluxe room for the third week of February for four nights, making the reservation between the last week of January and the first week of February. We paid in full during the second week of February. The morning before arrival we texted to confirm our arrival time and gave the booking confirmation number, to which they replied, “ok, see you!”. That made us think everything was settled. When we arrived, we were told our name wasn’t on the list of bookings for that day. Later we learned we were simply transferred to another branch. No heads‑up was given by management, and even the front desk staff had no idea. They said the place was fully booked. Note that there is no information on social media or any platform about another branch. We chose this hostel because it was close to our conference venue. We had to ask for compensation so they would cover our travel costs to the other branch. At the other branch we were very disappointed: the place was crowded, creepy, and not cozy. They gave us a two‑single bed room with AC, and the bathroom was outside the room. They said it was fine because we’d use the bathroom outside. My wife had to accompany me whenever she needed the bathroom because the main gate was still open and it was already early morning. It didn’t feel safe. The room faced the main gate. By the way, my wife works online on the graveyard shift. We were charged the same rate as the double deluxe room, but the room lacked the same features or package we originally booked. The room’s outside bathroom looked like an abandoned office building. We spoke with the caretaker there and learned that two people handle bookings. There was no coordination from management.
