The hotel was lovely. The bread was too hard, but the breakfast overall was lovely, though the toast was also too hard.

The pub food was very good, especially the apple crumble. The selection of ales was good and the staff were very friendly. Nothing else to comment on.

The mattress was extremely uncomfortable. We could feel the springs through it, and even turning over during the night was unpleasant. It made it very difficult to get a proper night’s sleep.

The staff were friendly and the room was spacious, and the dinner and breakfast were tasty, so I’d stay again for a good price; the only gripe was that the mattress in my room was very soft and not very supportive.

The breakfast selection was excellent, and the staff went out of their way to cook everything exactly the way we wanted.
