There was a TV with YouTube, soap, shampoo, conditioner, clean towels, tea, and the air‑con was functional, and the place was right across the road from the Inn; however, the actual establishment was closed, and we only discovered this from a handwritten note on printer paper on the first floor. The owner had died a few months earlier, so the motel’s owner arranged a room for us—unsure whether that was intentional, as he kept insisting he would “honor the price” I paid, yet nothing online indicated otherwise, and no one informed me that the place was no longer operating. The accommodations were somewhat poor: the bathroom door paint was flaking and one pillow had crusty stains.
