They offered free breakfast that was simple yet adequate, and I love the spot—just look outside and you’ll see the snowy mountain range. The room’s door couldn’t lock fully, but fortunately none of my belongings were taken.

The view is lovely, but the bathroom and toilet left something to be desired.

This youth hostel isn’t a hotel, and that’s something to know before booking. The rooms are clean and simply furnished with two single beds, bedding, towels, a small table, two chairs, and a wardrobe. We stayed in a room with a shower; the toilets are in a washroom off the corridor. Breakfast is served in a large common room, the selection is small but sufficient. We rode our bikes to the mountain railway, which takes about 10‑15 minutes, and there are parking spaces right in front of the building for cars. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The best part is that guests can buy a mountain railway card for €27.50 per day. We’d stay here again to enjoy the fantastic mountain world. During our stay one of the two toilets was permanently locked, which is far too little for the whole corridor of about 20 rooms. The washroom is poorly ventilated and therefore moldy. The whole building is very sound‑prone, but with earplugs it’s manageable. One of our room cards didn’t work.

The rooms can fit only four people, yet for the low price this hostel is a solid pick, though I wouldn’t stay more than one or two nights. The bathrooms are moldy and look old and worn; the lights either don’t work or flicker on their own. The dorms are also old and worn with chipped furniture, and the hostel is quite far from the city centre. The bus stops right next door, but it’s still a bit too far to walk into town.
