Located in Stolpe, the Relais & Châteaux Gutshaus Stolpe is a charming, stately hotel reminiscent of English and French country manor houses. This elegant retreat offers a private atmosphere, gourmet cuisine in its Michelin-starred restaurant, and free access to a swimming pool, bicycles, and sauna. Surrounded by a historic park and the river Peene, it's an idyllic escape near Usedom Island and the Baltic Sea.

It’s a lovely spot where you can leave the world behind, featuring a great restaurant, attentive staff, and a small but fine spa. In the tasteful manor, you can relax in the evening with a nice cocktail. We had a small room on the side wing that was poorly lit (the combination on the wardrobe safe was unreadable) and very fully furnished, leaving no space for luggage or bags. The wardrobe lacked compartments, so nothing could be unpacked. The soft pillows didn’t provide good support, and the mattresses were too soft for us. Only one window had a bug net, so walls, ceilings, and back panels were covered with spiders and gnats, which you don’t expect from a high‑priced country hotel. The interior of the side wing could use more care and color; it falls a bit short compared to the main house.

A beautiful and unique accommodation. The rooms are a bit older, but they fit the manor’s vibe. The heatwave made the rooms a bit warm and stuffy because there's no air conditioning; however, the window screens allowed good ventilation, and with all the greenery you can expect some insects. The bathroom was relatively new and clean. We were allowed to use the spa area a bit longer than usual because we arrived very late—thanks for that! The pool is great for swimming, and you can relax in the sauna afterward. We also used the pool/sauna on the departure day until noon/afternoon. There are changing rooms and a shower. The entire property is simply beautiful, with plenty of seating and lying areas, so you can truly relax and enjoy the peace. There's also a small area by the Peene with a dock and loungers. Breakfast was also excellent—great service staff. We could order egg dishes and pancakes, both delicious, and the rest of the breakfast was great. We would definitely come back!

We really liked the location, especially the magnificent park with the large old trees and the swimming spot by the river. Breakfast was outstanding, and the pool and sauna area kept drawing us back.
