“Very nice place to stop over before an early shuttle train.”

The house was charming in a clearly upscale neighbourhood, offered plenty of parking, welcomed us warmly, and the room featured a huge bathroom; receiving a packed lunch instead of breakfast made sense since many guests leave early for the tunnel, and the lunch was very handy when our shuttle was delayed. The only downside was the “Sold” sign outside, which suggests Foy House may close soon.

The house sat in a quiet residential area with off‑road parking on a large private driveway; the room was clean, comfortable, and quiet, so I slept well without traffic noise, and the shower, tea, and coffee facilities were nice. I didn’t dislike anything, but I would have liked a breakfast before leaving; the packed lunch I got was enjoyable on the Eurotunnel train.

The location was great, the welcome was warm and friendly, the bed was comfortable, and the room was clean.
