I was looking for a timeless, quirky, peaceful spot where we could feel alone in the world, look up at the summer sky, watch the stars, and maybe spot a shooting star… This place exceeded every expectation. Beyond its beauty, absolute quiet, and that rare sense of returning to nature (dry toilet, solar shower) combined with hotel comfort (beds), this stay will stay etched in our lives for a very special reason: it’s where I proposed. None of that would have felt the same without Cédric and Emilie’s invaluable help. Despite weather hiccups, they did everything to support me, reassure me, and help plan the moment with a caring, delicate, and deeply involved touch, as if it were their own story. Their kindness, availability, and hospitality are simply exceptional. You feel welcomed, heard, surrounded, with a service level that almost rivals a Clef d’Or concierge, yet still deeply human and warm. The setting is sublime, in the heart of the Dévoluy, giving that feeling of being at the end of the world while still close to everything: the resorts, Valgaudemar, the lake of Sautet about thirty minutes for a swim, or the Gillardes for the brave. It’s a rare, soothing place where you come to breathe, slow down, contemplate… and leave with far more than just a vacation memory. Huge thanks to Cédric and Emilie for making this stay one of the most beautiful moments of our lives. We’ll definitely return, that’s certain. Absolutely nothing to report. We know why we go there and we’re not disappointed at all.

“Nuit en pleine nature”
We loved the place—isolated, quiet, surrounded by nature with a view of the mountain, and the breakfast was generous for one person, served in a basket at the time we requested, all thanks to the owner's discreet service. The only downside was the spring mattress, which was a bit uncomfortable, but we still slept very well.
