“A bejelentkezés nehézségeit leszámítva a szállás rendben volt.”
The accommodation was fairly large and equipped, though no air‑conditioning. Because it’s close to the highway, traffic noise seeped in, but it became tolerable. My worst experience was checking in: when we arrived, no one was there. I wrote to the owner, who told me to send an SMS. I tried Booking, SMS, WhatsApp—nothing worked. I called, only to find he didn’t speak English and kept insisting on an SMS. I explained I’d already written, but he didn’t get it. Luckily another Hungarian family arrived at the same place. The gentleman opened a door that led to a stairwell and knocked on another door. An elderly lady, the owner’s wife, answered. It turned out she had been home the whole time, but the owner hadn’t mentioned it. From then on everything went smoothly. The next day we met the owner, who, using a translator app, apologized, blamed his wife for the mishap, and said he was in a crisis that night.
