The staff were genuinely friendly and the place sits in a handy spot, which made getting around easy. The rooms, however, feel a bit dated – the single‑bed mattresses are saggy and you can actually feel the springs on one side. I get that it’s an older building, but it could use a decent update.

I always pick this motel when I’m on the Tablelands because it’s right in the middle of Yungaburra and everything’s within walking distance. It’s been my go‑to spot for years, so hearing it’s slated to shut down for a long renovation is a real disappointment. Hopefully it comes back better.

The spot can’t be beat – right near all the Yungaburra attractions and only about 15 minutes from Atherton. The crew were welcoming and the room was tidy and surprisingly comfortable. The only downside was the paint; the walls looked a bit drab and could use a fresh coat.

The motel’s location was spot on for our plans, but the building itself shows its age – dust on surfaces, no spare toilet paper, and the beds were pretty stiff. For what we paid, the price felt steep given the need for a refurbishment. It’s a convenient spot, just not a great value right now.
