This is a simple guesthouse in a picturesque mountain village. The price‑for‑money is excellent, and the host is extremely friendly, courteous, and helpful. The toilet and shower were accessed via a steep wooden staircase that can be tackled if you’re fit, but it’s not suitable for people with mobility issues. Some rooms have the bathroom and toilet directly opposite each other.

The hosts were lovely and the cold cherries they gave us as a welcome gift were fantastic! The private bathroom was down a very narrow flight of stairs in the basement. We only stayed one night, so it was manageable, but using the bathroom in the middle of the night was far from inviting.

I stayed at Casa do Silverio and it was a lovely experience; the house looks beautiful, is very quiet, and kept in great condition. The room itself was spotless and comfortable, and the hosts were incredibly welcoming and friendly, so I’d gladly return. Nothing to complain about—everything was perfect and even surpassed what I expected.

The shared bathroom was a downside.
