A spacious room, a good bed and a generous breakfast. The only annoyance was having to keep explaining that I was a single traveller at check‑in, during dinner and breakfast; it felt irritating and unfriendly.

The Van der Walk rooms are always perfectly clean and comfortable. This particular hotel is a modest chain property, less international and more welcoming. Breakfasts are generous and varied, as usual, and the restaurant where we ate was entirely respectable. The charming location is not part of the typical "Van der Walk" vibe and lies near highway areas. Overall hotel quality makes up for it.

A great Van der Valk hotel; hygiene is excellent. The room and the hotel are very comfortable, and the hotel is easily reachable from the motorway. I did notice the minibar was empty, and I used it as a fridge. A stocked minibar would have been preferable.
