The owner Gianluca is very welcoming and loves to share stories about the building and its surroundings, even using Google Translate. The room and bathroom are tidy and bright. The window opens so you can hear the waterfall, and there is air‑conditioning for cooling or heating. Breakfast is well prepared. The location is lovely and unique, offering walking, rest, and climbing opportunities. The hike to Casoli is challenging but enjoyable, especially for the paintings and graffiti you can see, and you can pause to say thanks while enjoying the view. The road to the place is a bit worn, but that’s not the B&B’s fault.

Candalla B&B feels like a magical oasis right above the Candalla waterfalls. The sound of the water and surrounding nature lulled us into a truly restorative sleep. Watching the ducks splash in the clear pools near the property, walking on trails that start just a few steps from the B&B, and exploring the many nearby attractions were all second only to the owner’s hospitality. Gianluca is a wonderful person who helped us at every stage, from before we arrived to throughout our stay, inviting us into his world of love that he shares so generously with guests. If you love nature and want a place that really lets you detach from everyday stress and reconnect with yourself, stay here.

Candalla B&B is a tiny gem tucked into the green of the Apuan Alps, offering a stunning view of the river that runs directly beneath the property. It’s a magical place where silence feels like home. Luca is a special person, always present. I hope to return soon.
