“Very nice, comfortable accomodation for a ski trip.”

We stayed in a hostel‑style place with a private room and a shared bathroom, and the onsen was a highlight. Breakfast was offered twice and was tasty, and the staff were excellent, always ready to help make Tuesday comfortable. Cleanliness was consistent—sheets and towels were changed every few days. The only downside was that the town and the gondola were about a 15‑minute walk away; walking was fine for us, but it might frustrate others.

“Loved the place and the host always helpful plenty of drying room for all the ski gear and close to the bus shuttle .”

The place was large, the kids loved the onsen, and the room was spacious. The pillows were a bit small, but the host was very helpful and nice, dropping our luggage and ourselves off at the bus station when we left.

“Great hospitality. Decent choice. Close to Karazawa lift.”

The hosts were very welcoming and helpful, and their messages were answered very fast. While I was staying, I injured my leg skiing, and the owner family cared for me, even moving me to a nearby room next to the lobby so I could move around more easily. The room was clean and the facilities were decent. It’s only a 3‑minute walk to Nakao public onsen, and we loved our stay in Nozawa Onse—except for the ski injury. I would recommend Yamasanso! The hotel wifi was a bit weak in the top‑floor corner room, and the hotel sits on the right side of the village, very close to the Karazawa lift but about a 15‑minute walk from the town center; walking through Nozawa’s winding narrow roads is pleasant and didn’t bother us at all.
