The view and the culinary skills of the two chefs were impressive, yet I have to start with the ants and mold in the bathroom, stains and holes in the bedding, no night‑stands, no kettle for tea, a jumble of old furnishings, a green pool that wasn’t swim‑able, and construction noise starting at 7 am.
