Everything was sensational. Only the dirt road to reach the lodge was a drawback.

Mari and Marlan gave us a warm welcome that felt like home. The breakfast was top‑notch, and the view from the lodge is literally paradise. We’re already planning our next visit.

The hosts, Marlan and Mari, are a blast—friendly, energetic, and full of useful tips. They made us feel right at home. The lodge’s spot is unbeatable: you can watch the sunrise and sunset over a stream that runs right through the property. Plus, there are several trails you can hit straight from the lodge—like the clear water trail, the waterfall, the duck lagoon, and the smoke waterfall. We didn’t get to stay as long as we’d liked, but we’re definitely coming back soon.

This place is perfect for unwinding and getting close to nature. Mary and Marlan’s hospitality is exceptional—so friendly and welcoming. Breakfast is tasty with plenty of options, and the playlist of forro and MPB keeps the vibe alive. The river on the property is gorgeous for a dip. Wish we could have stayed longer just to enjoy the bonfire.
