The Columba Hotel, a historic Victorian property built between 1865 and 1901, offers stunning views of Oban and Oban Bay. This 19th-century hotel features a 24-hour front desk, traditional restaurant, and 2 bars. En-suite rooms with hairdryers and sea views are available, along with a traditional Italian bistro, Bar Rio, serving coffee, cocktails, and children's meals.

The staff are friendly and welcoming, rooms with sea view offered lovely nighttime views over Oban Bay, parking was available, and Bar Rio served very good food at reasonable prices, but the buffet‑style breakfast was just okay and the product quality didn’t match the price.

The location is right in the center of Oban, but the historic elevator doesn’t work, and carrying luggage up to the second floor on those risky stairs was a challenge.
