Alison is super friendly and her breakfasts are really, really good.
The breakfast, especially the homemade bread, was delicious.

“Sauber und ruhige Unterkunft”
We enjoyed a flawless stay; the room and terrace were impeccably clean and well maintained. Being in the middle of greenery and right by the jungle gave a dreamy, relaxed vibe. Huge praise for the staff: we were warmly welcomed, everyone was attentive at all times, and they made us feel comfortable from the moment we arrived. The road to the property is unpaved and must be driven with great caution.
The finca, dorm, and bathroom were clean and well maintained, but the mattress felt uncomfortable and the room door lock was broken; a chair in the room would have been useful. Breakfast cost $20.000 COP and felt overpriced, and they didn’t ask how I wanted my eggs cooked—they just served them as they were.
“Es un sitio muy lindo y tranquilo. Alison y Noe son unos anfitriones espectaculares.”
Alison was always on hand to make sure everything ran smoothly, and Noé was so kind they walked us to the door on departure like family; the breakfast, with freshly baked French bread, was delicious, and I’d book here again for the peace of mind you don’t get in central Palomino, plus the views and reliable water and electricity in the jungle.
“Wir wären gerne länger geblieben”
It was clear that a lot of love went into this accommodation. Everything was sturdy, the interior was detailed, the bathroom was spacious, clean and nice. The garden was well kept and it was quiet at night. A big bonus: there are mosquito nets. Alison welcomed us with wonderful warmth, so we felt at home quickly. From the accommodation it is a fairly long walk to the town, but that was already known before booking.
“Relaxing and peaceful”
I really liked my stay at Sexto Sentido. My hut was cozy and simple, yet roomy enough for my large luggage. The location was far enough from Palomino’s bustle but close to the river, and everything was within walking distance—walking at night was safe and I never felt uneasy. Alison’s welcoming vibe stood out; she was friendly, helpful, and kept in touch throughout my stay. Highly recommended.
