The location and surroundings were lovely, everyone was friendly, the rooms were pretty, breakfast was great, but we didn’t go to the spa because it was closed on Tuesdays. We would gladly return.

The castle was stunning in a dreamy setting, the service was very good, and the Castello was charmingly tucked into the gentle hills of the Friulian vineyards – not only great for golfers. Breakfast was superb in a beautiful historic dining room, and one of the most impressive rooms overall. Our room itself was, apart from the historic canopy bed, very Spartan in design, and overall we expected a bit more “attention to detail” for the price range.

È uno di quei luoghi in cui desideri tornare e rimanere per più tempo. Molto tranquillo e rilassante, immerso nel verde e nella pace. Camera spaziosa e comoda, con ottimi arredi e decorazioni. Letto comodissimo

Excellent grounds that are maintained to a high very standard. The castle exterior is impressive and the staff are all very helpful and accommodating. Wonderful panoramic views overlooking the golf course, vineyards and with easy access to the grounds making for relaxing walks. Disappointed with the breakfast as you had to pay a 5 euro supplement for a single fried egg or for an omelet. Scrambled eggs serving dish had dried egg stuck on the edges of the dish every day and the egg over cooked and dry. No fresh sliced bread, only rolls or large baguettes which had to be hand cut. No fresh fruit juiced - all from cartons. Virtually no cooked breakfast options. Limited continental breakfast options. Good selection of fresh fruit, pastries and yogurts. Bedrooms are in character with the age of the castle, musty smelling and creaking wardrobe, chest of drawers and floorboards. No in room tea or coffee facilities or any complementary water. Bathroom sink slow water discharge with debris surfacing from the plug hole. Bathroom shower with intermittent hot and cold water dependent on usage from other bedrooms. Shower unit unable to retain hand held shower head in required position. Unable to leave bedroom windows open as the extractor fan on the roofline below emitted strong food smells particularly fried foods. A complimentary tour of the castle and cellars would have been much appreciated
