The room matched the photos, but upon arrival the property was closed, and it was extremely hard to reach the staff who were shocked we were supposed to stay there that day; negotiating with them was difficult, and although we were told to pay in cash, no cash option existed and we were forced to make a transfer through a strange site—this was my first unpleasant experience like that.

We were blown away by the place – spacious, comfy, and freshly renovated, an ultra‑clean apartment that comfortably fit our four‑person family with dogs. The garden was gorgeous, complete with a Tyrolean play area for the kids, and it’s close to Donovaly’s centre. We didn’t use the on‑site dining option; we made breakfast in the apartment with ease and dined at the Pivovar restaurant for dinner. I highly recommend it! The only downside was the proximity to the road and the noise from cars. In cooler months it probably wouldn’t matter, but in summer with the windows open, you could feel it.

Everything was great – friendly local hosts, clean and pretty rooms, comfortable beds, and the garden with a playground outside the pension was the best part. Nothing to complain about.

We were satisfied – the accommodation was clean, the room smelled nice, the beds were comfortable, and the recently renovated pension had a nice setup. The hosts were kind, the outdoor seating was tidy, there was plenty of greenery, and it was family‑friendly. In the future, a small fridge in each room would delight guests, but otherwise we had nothing to miss.
