The location is perfect for walking and the village has good facilities, and the view from the room was great. The bar was closed, which was a shame because I would have liked to unwind after a walk. Just keep in mind that it’s closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.

The spot is great and parking is included. It was one of the concert weekends in mid‑summer at Peak Cavern, so prices were higher than usual. The staff were friendly and helpful. I stayed in Room 5, a large double with a bay window facing the main road at the front, but it wasn’t too noisy and I slept with the window open. The room wasn’t too hot. There’s a fridge in the communal lounge where you can store drinks or freeze small packs. Everything was fine, but the room had a lot of dust and the bathroom needs an upgrade.
