Very friendly owners. The location is great for using it as a base and exploring the area. There is a common fridge for all rooms at the house entrance. Very close‑knit treatment in a traditional house. Nothing negative.

A small paradise in Maramureș. A beautifully restored traditional farmhouse with a great garden and around it ducks, sheep, chickens, and the charming cat Luna. Everything is considered, and the garden invites you to linger with its generous seating. In the morning there is a superb breakfast in a cozy, lovingly furnished breakfast room. We can only recommend a stay.

I spent a lovely time in Călinești and would urge anyone wanting a genuine Maramureș experience to book here. The property offers four rooms—two on the ground floor and two above—with clean bathrooms in each and a fridge on every level. There’s also a lounge featuring a TV, coffee machine, and a traditional fireplace. The only downside is the thin wooden walls, which let you hear footsteps up the stairs and noises from adjacent rooms.

We stayed in a 100‑year‑old traditional house, and the bathroom is a new addition—just fantastic! The décor stayed true to tradition, making us feel at home. The garden is huge, complete with loungers, Hollywood swings, a hammock, and even a “hay bed.” Chickens, ducks, sheep, cats, and a pig roam the spacious, well‑maintained estate. The breakfast was delicious, freshly prepared each morning by the host and served in a bright, lovely breakfast room. All in all, a wonderful and highly recommendable stay.
