“Zwiespalten.”
Entering felt like stepping into a fairy tale. The first impression was breathtaking, but as in a fairy tale, not everything that glitters is gold. Despite requesting an early check‑in and arriving at 12:30 pm, the room wasn’t ready until 15:00, an hour after the official check‑in, and this was explained to us with complete indifference and no apology, which after 15 hours of waiting was exhausting. Once inside, we struggled to find the reception or staff; when we finally did, we were surprised to be asked how we got to the property at 12:30 pm. In the Junior Suite we thought “wow,” but the impression soured after a nap. The bathtub, which initially seemed impressive, didn’t drain; since it was the only tub, it took up to 12 hours for the water to drain, and the next person had to stand in the knee‑deep water with leftover shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner floating around. Even after written and verbal complaints, the issue wasn’t fixed for the entire four days, which was disgusting. The lighting in the private garden was clearly just decorative, and when asked how to turn it on, we received no answer. Breakfast was adequate but rather dull and the same every day; the coffee was very good. A soft‑boiled egg could be ordered, but only upon request and not offered automatically. The really nice large pool turned into an insect grave, and on one side the film peeled off a wall over a length of at least 2–3 m, revealing mold behind it. The property itself is very spacious and looks really beautiful and elegant at first glance, but overall it’s a lot of fuss with almost no real charm. It’s a shame to have so much beauty and so little to do.
