“Don't go”

They asked me to pay again upon arrival even though I had already paid through Booking and were told a refund would be issued once Booking transferred the payment (around 10 pm). The room looked very cheap and I found bed bugs, so I packed my stuff and left without staying the night. The receptionist barely spoke English, was argumentative, and unprofessional. I’m deeply disappointed with this conduct and with the fact that this place is promoted by Booking.

It was a good deal for the price, and I was satisfied overall. However, the room should have had the heating turned on after booking and confirmation, and the office closing time of 10 pm is unfair for travelers.

“We will not stay again unfortunately.”

The place was clean, but the noise was unbearable—both the person above us and the hourly train rattles kept me from sleeping at all.

“It’s ok if you need a place to stay.”

They let pets in for a fee, but the old building has paper‑thin walls that make it very loud, the towels are old, thin, and crispy, and the staff won’t hand out extra ones.

“I have stayed a few times while traveling. Way better than paying a lot more for a bed in Saskatoon.”

It’s a very affordable stop on the route, though a bit dated and worn, yet the bed feels homey and comfortable.
