“There are very few nice hotel options in Oxford/Anniston Alabama creating a very low bar of quality.”
One staff member, I think her name was Daisy, was very professional and tried to be as helpful as possible. The hotel’s location was convenient, and the parking was adequate and convenient as well. Traveling with a parent for a family member’s memorial service and a high school graduation, I had another staff member check me out—his name escapes me, maybe Keonte or Kentay. He was very rude when I mentioned that the room I paid for on the Marriott site was not the room I received, even though it was acknowledged at check‑in. The front desk told me to come down and they would see what they could do. I told them I had back‑to‑back work meetings and the events I came for, so I would come down when possible, which was at the end of my two‑night stay. We left the evening before we were scheduled to check out. Essentially this staff member said they don’t have anything to do with what’s on the site or the price I am charged for different room types; they have what they have and that’s it. Very rude. I definitely wouldn’t stay there again with his approach to customer communication and service. The breakfast was disappointing and overcooked. We were hoping for a better breakfast experience, perhaps more of a continental breakfast, given the cost. Consider adding a non‑dairy creamer option; my mother is lactose intolerant and couldn’t have any coffee with creamer, so we had to go somewhere else for breakfast. The linen on the bed did not look fresh and clean. The bed did not sleep well. The towels were hard. The table in my room by the couch did not appear to be clean. The view was not great, so I kept the window closed. The Wi‑Fi was “OK”.
