The location was very central, just 30 m from one of the main streets in town. It was very quiet, no noise at night. The room was big, comparable to a good hotel room, with a fridge, coffee machine, kettle, glasses, etc. The hosts were fabulous—very responsive and very helpful with local trips and restaurant suggestions. The only issue was the lack of a lift and steep stairs, which isn’t a problem if you’re fit but could be for elderly guests.

The place was great to be in. The front door was awkward to lock because you have to step down before locking it. It was hard to find. Parking was a challenge. We stayed in a third‑floor room with no elevator.

The place sits in a great spot, and the owners were always nearby, ready to sort out parking and other questions, which was really helpful; the apartment itself was spotless. However, the bed and pillows felt uncomfortable, and even with both windows open there was a persistent moldy odor inside. Next door is a carpenter workshop that starts early in the morning and runs until 6 pm every day, making the noise a real nuisance.
