“Overall stay was acceptable, but due to the poor cleanliness and communication, I wouldn't return.”
The room was quite spacious, and I liked the location – about a 20 minute walk from the city center but right next to a beautiful meadow, which was ideal for traveling with a dog. Free on-site parking was a great benefit, and the window faced an inner courtyard, so there was no street noise. I had poor signal in the room, but the hotel Wi‑Fi worked perfectly. However, the staff did not understand Czech nor speak English, making communication and check‑in difficult. The room appeared ready (clean linens, vacuuming, and mopping done), yet it clearly needed a deep clean—doors, walls, and furniture were dirty and seemed neglected, as were the common areas in the building. The bedsheet was made of a fully synthetic material, which was uncomfortable to sleep on, and there was a strong artificial smell from an automatic air freshener. Additionally, an electrical socket was sticking out of the wall right next to the bed, which I considered a fire hazard. The neighbourhood seemed safe, but I still disliked the main door remaining unlocked most of the day, allowing anyone to enter the premises. Towels were missing and only provided upon request, with no bath mat, so I had to use a towel for that. The room was noisy—you could hear any door opening or closing from the hallway or the main door being shut. On the first day there was also a lot of drilling and hammering on the pipes, causing water to burst out from the heating in the room. Although it was fixed quickly, having two repairmen in the room while I was already in my pajamas, without any apology from the management (not even a basic “sorry,” which is a quite international word, I'd say), was unpleasant. Lastly, the dog fee and city tax could only be paid in cash, as cards or QR codes were not accepted.
