The lodge sits outside central Otavalo, and from my room I could see the town below; the building itself is one of a kind, with bright interiors and exteriors that inspire, and the owner was lively, spoke excellent English, and told us about local culture.

The hotel is a gem, offers breathtaking views, and the breakfast was delicious.

The spot and the staff were very welcoming; keep in mind that if you plan to walk to and from the hotel, it’s perched on a hill.
