We arrived by train from Khiva at 1.30 AM and Katja was waiting for us at the gate. The breakfast was very well presented and plentiful. Katja was warm and hospitable. The guesthouse is well located and we could even walk back to our room to rest before heading out for more sightseeing. Highly recommended.

It’s an old manor house and the owners were very friendly, even asking what we wanted for breakfast and at what time. We were forced to pay in cash, which caused some inconvenience. The location is in a narrow alley and the taxi had a lot of trouble getting there.

The air conditioning in the room was strong, which was a salvation on such hot days! The host didn’t speak much English, but we managed everything with translation software. The double room was small, but the bed and pillows were very comfortable, letting us sleep until dawn. The breakfast portions were huge and the host’s generosity was evident; the breakfast changed over the two days, which was amazing.

I stayed at Katja’s place and it was spotlessly clean and super cozy. Katja herself was incredibly warm and welcoming, even though we arrived super late; she promised to meet us at 1:00 am and kept her word. The breakfasts were plentiful, homemade, traditional and absolutely delicious, and on our last day she woke up early to give us a take‑away breakfast and say goodbye. Katja is an extraordinary, hardworking entrepreneur who’s clearly proud of Buxoro. Bravo, Katja! (Kumrie)

The location is great—just a 5‑minute walk from the center—and the place is very comfortable. The value for money is excellent. The room was beautiful and clean. Katia greeted us and never left anything out; she was super helpful with everything we needed and cooked fantastic breakfasts that we’ll always remember. She’s truly special! Thanks for making our stay in Bukara even better!
