The guesthouse is comfortable and clean for a night near Siargao port; the location is modest, you have to climb a dirt road, but it’s doable. The host is friendly and the room is well equipped and tidy.

All the cooking utensils and appliances are provided. The place is clean and the owner is approachable and kind. The downside is that when it rains the road is poor, but hopefully one day the road from the highway to the site will be fixed and paved.

The accommodation looked okay. My judgment of our stay, which only lasted 10 minutes, is that first the driver could not find the place and there was no signage. Second, after we finally found the driveway, it was a complete swamp under a lot of water; I had to remove my sandals and walk barefoot through mud to reach the house and had to hose down when I arrived. The owner was fine and understood why I didn’t want to stay, so she refunded us without issue, which was good. When we left the same problem persisted and I had to borrow someone’s hose to clean up once we got back to the main road. When I talked to the owner she said pictures were on the websites and I replied “not of the driveway.” Anyway, the pictures I supplied are not the first of it.

We almost lost the place at first, but the locals helped us track it down and the owner kindly drove us over. The spot was spotless and fully stocked, and we even booked a tuktuk for the next day.
