Despite a confirmed reservation, there were no rooms available upon arrival, and now it says I didn’t show up; still no refund and it feels dishonest.

The place is bucolic and transports you to the past, but the staff offered no welcome or any kind of interaction, which is surprising compared to the warm hospitality of the Thai people.

The rooms and Lanna-style location are very pretty but kept in terrible condition; from the first moment a total lack of managerial ability was evident, the owner was truly awful, arriving late at night and we had to call and wait 30 minutes for someone to answer even though we had warned that we were arriving then; they didn’t know how many nights we had booked or who we were and didn’t give us the room we had reserved; the outdoor bathroom was dirty, full of cobwebs and spiders of various sizes with no water from the tap; there was no service, just a few bananas and some hot water with various sachets; on a street, fortunately there’s a beautiful café and basically nothing else besides a 7/11; no hot water for two days; the pool was filthy—absolutely not recommended.
