The breakfast was good, but the hotel looked fine on arrival and then the room smelled like strong mold. We tried keeping the door and toilet vent open for a while, but nothing changed. We arrived late and tried to sleep despite the unbearable odor. At 1 a.m. we were ready to leave. Mold stains were visible on several walls even though the room had been freshly painted. We reported the problem to an employee at the front desk the next morning, and she said someone would call us to refund the night or give a discount. No one called, even after we followed up by email a few days later. The positives of the hotel are completely outweighed by this intolerable issue; the lingering smell makes it impossible to overlook and really tarnishes the establishment’s reputation. Stay away!

I haven’t stayed in a QI for a long time, but I was pleasantly surprised by the upgrades, especially the lack of carpet. I was late for breakfast, and the desk man said it was fine—thank you! The staff were pleasant and it was great value. The only downside was that there was only an elevator.
