The reception was pleasant in a beautiful setting. The house itself was lovely, the room was beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The breakfast was generous and tasty, and the location was excellent – perfect.

The breakfast was of very good quality. However, the hotel offered a cold charcuterie and cheese spread to guests who had booked a room but hadn’t reserved a table, forcing us to travel far to find a restaurant.

The old house had been recently renovated to a high standard. We had a spacious, quiet and comfortable room. We ate at the hotel both nights and enjoyed simple, delicious meals made from local produce. The host was very helpful and met our gluten‑free request. It was a good base for exploring the area.

The hotel and location were excellent, nice quiet place. They did evening meals for us, there were few places nearby to eat and the meals were both very good. I would certainly recommend taking advantage of the meals offer. The rooms were spacious, well decorated and with large beds. Part of the hotel was undergoing some decoration and items for this were left on the stairs and never moved during or stay. The garden could have been better looked after, shabby in places
