At One sits right beside the lagoon and a few minutes’ walk from Turtle Beach; several nearby restaurants were all closed in mid‑June, so we ate almost everything in the hotel’s rooftop restaurant, which was superb! If you want to go somewhere else, they’ll take you in a tuk‑tuk. They took us to a quiet beach a bit further away (calm swimming water) and even delivered lunch to the shore that afternoon. The staff are fantastic and always ready to help. The tents sit on a concrete platform, the built‑in bathroom is stone, and you have a nice terrace with a seat. The tents are fully equipped with air‑conditioning and even TV, plus there’s a small pool. The turtle watch can be arranged through the hotel if you wish; we saw sea turtles lay eggs—a truly special experience. If you value a tranquil setting and don’t mind being a bit farther from the city, this place is definitely recommended. Do it!
