Katharina proved to be an exceptionally good host, and her breakfasts are unbeatable; the château’s theme, a tribute to the long‑gone actress Sarah Bernhardt, was wonderfully original. The garden looked better on paper than it did in reality, but Katharina was working hard to improve it.

The place is beautiful, tranquil, and the host’s smile and kindness are remarkable; the breakfast was outstanding. Private parking is available for cars and bikes, with charging points.
