Hendre Cennin cottage is in a suitably remote spot with fantastic views, perfect for those craving quiet and privacy. Our dog had a safe space to roam, and the house offered much‑needed coolness during the heat wave. We should have been better prepared, as the 3words app is very useful for pinning down the location. The bathroom fan turns on with the light switch, which made us hesitant to use it late at night.

The setting was beautiful, the bed was soft, the kitchen was well equipped, it was pet friendly, and privacy was good. The TV Ariel was poor and there was no reception for most of the stay. On arrival the toilet smelled—probably from the septic tank—and it cleared quickly. The place was cold in mid‑February, and the shower was in poor repair.

The place was clean and comfortable, and the location worked well for me. Getting there was a bit of a hassle, especially at night—narrow lanes make it tough for an SUV like mine, though smaller cars manage fine.
