“A quiet, lovely riad close to a lively, more locally-inhabited part of the medina with great food”

The welcome and explanations at arrival were very helpful, the rooftop breakfast is good and beautifully served, the decor is lovely, and the dipping pool is a real treat in hot weather, but the hotel sits deep in the medina—expect a 15‑minute walk from some shops or hire a porter with a cart if you have a lot of luggage, and watch out for people who offer to guide you and will expect a tip.

The building sits in the city centre but is tucked away from the noisy alleys of the Medina, and even at night you can reach Plaza Jema-el-Fnaa without trouble; the room was spotless, received a daily cleaning, and the staff were very kind and helpful, with the reception team going out of their way to satisfy us – a perfect 10.

The staff greeted us warmly, the traditional décor was a highlight, the pool was enjoyable, and the beds were very comfy, but the breakfast left something to be desired.

“Doesn't live up to expectations”

The staff. No shower curtain. Minimal toiletries and those provided were low quality No bathroom mat No health faucet /bidet for toilet. No hooks in the toilet to hang up clothes Tiny room. No complimentary daily drinking water Bed sheets were not provided for the sofa bed. Though it was informed in advance ,three persons were to be expected, bed was not made up for three Only basic linen like a clean white bed sheet and pillow cases were provided even for the double bed.No blanket was provided Poor air conditioning No cupboards. No electric kettle or provision for making tea or coffee No intercom to even call reception.Have to go all the way down . No elevator. Eggs were not part of the breakfast though it was mentioned in the website. Vehicles are not allowed inside the djema el fana and hence guests have to walk a minimum of 10 to 15 minutes in the blistering heat to get transport for sight seeing. Excursions arranged by the Riad is expensive compared to those offered by viator, get your guide etc.They even levied tourist tax for these excursions in addition to the prices they had assured us. No receipts were provided for the supplementary stay for the third person which was paid at the Riad as per site.On top of that they took an additional tax on the third person's stay though this was not mentioned at the outset. Total mismatch between reality and pictures portrayed in the website
