“It was reasonable”
The location and cleanliness were excellent, and the cleaning staff were friendly, efficient, and wonderful—definitely the best part of the stay. This was my fourth trip to Japan; I booked two adjacent rooms for myself and a friend. On the last day I booked my room for an extra night to rest before my flight, even though I only needed it until 5 pm and wouldn’t be staying overnight. I had paid $AUD 80 a night originally, so the extra night cost $AUD 120, a 50 % increase, which I accepted. Then I was told my friend was not allowed into my room, even though I had a leg injury and needed him to help with luggage. I didn’t care about the rules and let him in anyway, but the policy made me feel insulted and offensive, and I will never stay at an APA hotel again.
