“Weird layout / ridiculous floor plan”
I was greeted by a helpful front‑desk woman who always wore a smile and knew the area well, but the King suite layout was absurd: the room started as a large space, then a bathroom was wedged into the middle of a wall, leaving a cramped, unusable corner with a couch. From there you walk left to a bathroom door on one side and a king bed on the other, with the bed only 2 ft from the bathroom door, then another left turn revealed two free‑standing shelves—one holding a microwave and mini‑fridge, the other an ironing board and hangers. The AC unit sat on the far side of the bed, so airflow was limited near the couch, making that area feel cold and stuffy, and you couldn’t see the TV from the couch because the room is horseshoe‑shaped. The hotel’s layout is generally poor: the front door in the lobby is an emergency exit, the main entrance is off to the left, leading through a useless room and another door just to get in. In the lobby there’s a nice cart of ice water, but you have to walk down the hall for coffee and the ice machine is nowhere to be found. The second‑floor corridors smell of fresh paint and must, yet the room itself was odorless. The pool was standard—clean and at a decent temperature—but people on the second floor could see you from their windows, which felt creepy. All of this came with a standard rate of $199.00 for a Monday night.
