“Dirty and broken”
The location is great, though it can be noisy at times because it’s in the city centre. Apartment No 2 had no communication before arrival; my request for a different check‑in time was never answered and I had to ask several times to get the door codes. The place was very dirty—floors and kitchen sticky, all cutlery and dishes filthy, bed covers had old stains and one had a burn hole (sheets and pillow underneath were clean). Two sofa chairs were sticky from old dirt and unusable; the bathtub needed cleaning before use, the shower curtain was brown and stinky. The apartment was run down—one bed was not smelly but the mattress was so old it was broken in the middle, very uncomfortable. The kettle and toaster were unusable, the freezer was one ice block; the trashcan was sticky and soiled all over; the toilet wobbled (a “repair” had been made on the side with tape). Everything in the shower was broken. Two of the three beds smelled strongly of old sweat; the toilet or sink in the bathroom seemed to leak, causing a sewer smell. Pests—roaches in kitchen and bathroom, spiders and other bugs—were present, and the bed was itchy (fleas?). There was hardly any cutlery and dishes in the kitchen, many basics missing—no can opener, no dish towel, no broom, only two tiny rolls of toilet paper for two weeks; some light bulbs didn’t work, and there was no chair on the balcony. Unfortunately, apartment (door no. 2, the picture with the white kitchen, 3 beds, no upstairs) was a complete disgrace and a rip‑off.
