The host was super friendly and the pool was great, but the place wasn’t very clean and there was no hot water, so I caught a cold; it’s not far from the city center, but traffic in Ubud is crazy, so it could still take 15 to 20 minutes by car.
It was super clean, the owners responded in a second and helped with everything, including car rental :) the pool is beautiful. In general the house is in a nice area, you can hear birds and other nature sounds all around :)

The quiet setting is great, and the city center is reachable in 10 minutes by the scooter that the host kindly arranged for us. What really stood out was getting an authentic glimpse into Balinese family life; although the accommodation is separate, it still feels part of the community, passing by the houses of grandma, grandpa, brother, and sister. For our 2‑year‑old son, it was wonderful to have a playmate right there. The host family was super helpful, always reachable, flexible about extensions, and generous enough to let us leave our belongings in the apartment during a short trip. The apartment’s atmosphere is fantastic: very bright, modern, with lovely lighting. We had a truly great time and highly recommend it.
