The room was large enough for my husband and our 3‑year‑old toddler, but the bathroom felt cold, which is just how it was built.
The location and size of the rooms were great for our group. The staff member at the front desk was helpful and organised parking for our 3rd vehicle. There were several comments on the mattresses and being able to feel the springs. New mattresses or thick toppers and everyone would be happy

The shower was surprisingly strong, a real treat after a long day outdoors, and having an entire queen bed to myself was a bonus. I had engaging conversations with the staff, and I remembered staying at the Walton in 2007 with my wife and son, exploring Omaha Beach and Matakana, a short drive from Warkworth, all while the weather was fantastic.
There were cockroaches running around.
