The spot is perfect for watching the CRMC golf tournament, right on a gorgeous lake. The balcony below us had terrible smoking, the air conditioning failed, and cobwebs were left uncleaned.
“Northern Minnesota lodge style stay with amenities of a 5 start hotel .”
A nice resort on Gull Lake’s edge; it’s older but the rooms feel lodge‑style and are super clean. The beds were comfortable, which mattered to me with back issues. The bathroom was tidy and stocked with towels. It was busy over the weekend, yet still felt quiet. We’ll definitely return and recommend it to family and friends. AC worked well, though the room felt a bit damp—probably due to the high humidity and lake proximity—but it wasn’t a major complaint.
“Nice getaway place if you can afford it.”
We had a room with a lake view, a comfortable bed and chairs, and several dining options. The hallway carpet was old. The coffee shop and other renovations were underway—nice updates—but they were in the middle of summer, which was a bit inconvenient.
“Great place would definitely stay here again”
I appreciated the resort’s vibe; the room was very cozy and the restaurant superb. We were swamped at the NHRA event and couldn't explore the lake, but overall the resort was great. The only downside was that the bathroom door in our room was hard to close and even harder and noisier to open.
The location was great! Kids adored the giant float in the beach area and loved the banana boat ride. Food at the Lakehouse bar and kitchen was very good. Kayaks and bikes were scarce because people didn’t return them; you had to grab one first thing in the morning. The breakfast buffet was just okay; tables weren’t cleaned, food ran out, and it wasn’t replenished quickly.
