Room service was decent, bartenders and diner staff were okay. I spoke to a representative on the phone who told me I was good to go when I arrived at the hotel and that I had no balance to pay because everything was paid in full, so I wouldn’t need to bring a card—just my ID. Then I was told it would be an extra $350 for a request I had made, but no one had informed me that I would be upgraded or that I still had a balance all the way in Cancun from Michigan unless I paid the balance, otherwise I wouldn’t be accommodated. Manager Sofia added to the confusion, and on top of it being my lady’s birthday, the front desk lady was new, apparently working slow and in the right headspace, she kept zoning out then apologized.

The vibe was definitely there. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Make sure you book the Diamond club—they’ll treat you like a celebrity 😘

The hotel looked great, spotlessly clean and in a superb spot. I especially liked the lounge set up for those who booked the diamond club; it was a nice place to relax, grab a drink or snack, and mingle with other guests. The only downside was that the cabana package on the 16th floor didn’t give the same perks as the one by the main pool, but after I asked, my butlers Iran and Sandra sorted it out right away, so everything was fine.
