Nestled in St. Julian’s, Hostel Malti sits a five‑minute walk from Paceville’s nightlife. Its rooftop terrace boasts a hot tub and panoramic sea views, while dormitories feature vibrant, color‑blocked walls. Free WiFi, comfortable lounge seating, and a shuttle to Malta International Airport (11 km away) enhance convenience. A nearby bus stop links guests to the entire St. Julian’s area.

Nina was lovely, and the vibe felt safe for a solo woman; the hostel was spotless, and every bed had full curtains for privacy. The art pieces along the walkways were impressive, and the rooftop became cozy at sunset. They give free tours, and towels rent for just €1. However, it got freezing with the air‑con on at night, and I only got one sheet and a thin pillow.

The structure is beautiful and clean. Getting around by city transport in any direction is convenient. The receptionist girl is very pleasant. Everything was very enjoyable.

The place sits in a good spot, not far from everything yet tucked away quietly, though the hill is steep so expect a bit of walking. I booked for the jacuzzi, but it stayed off the whole 5‑night stay; the maintenance guy promised to fix it but never did. Wi‑fi was only downstairs in the common area; the second‑floor signal didn’t work either, despite promises. I stayed longer only because it was the cheapest option. The receptionist was friendly but seemed uninterested in helping. Reception and the hot tub operated only during specific hours, which felt odd, and I had to assist many guests because nobody was present. The shower and toilet were tiny, the bed was a decent size but the mattress had a wire poking out, and the hostel was mostly older men, so solo female travelers should be cautious.
