“Horrible, Unprofessional Service”
We never stayed there, but I must comment on the staff’s unprofessional attitude: as first‑time visitors to Darjeeling, we struggled to find the hotel we had booked, so we chose this property because it was closer to the market. Soon after booking, a staff member called demanding payment; we explained we were already in the market area and just needed the hotel’s location so we could arrive and pay at check‑in. Instead of sharing the address or sending it via WhatsApp, the staff insisted on a partial payment first, showing no flexibility or basic customer service. When travelers need directions to a newly booked hotel, the priority should be helping them locate it, not repeatedly demanding payment. The rude, robotic communication left a very poor impression and caused us to cancel the booking. Hospitality should begin with how guests are treated, and this experience fell far below expectations.
