A stunning property that feels luxurious yet private and intimate. The staff were amazing, helping with taxi bookings and showing us the best sights. The rooms were spacious and the private onsen was perfect for easing sore muscles after a long trip.

We liked having a private onsen and the bed was very comfortable. The location was very far from everything in Hakone. Unlike other hotels, the car service only goes one way, so we had to find a way back ourselves. The first‑floor onsen had no light, water dripped from the ceiling everywhere, and it was quite shallow. When we arrived, they told us we couldn’t dine at the hotel without a reservation even as guests, and they don’t offer room service. Two hours before our train in Odawara, no taxi would come to the hotel; the staff offered no solution, advice, or help. They refused to drive us with the hotel car (we were willing to pay), couldn’t arrange a taxi, and left us at Gora to sort it out on our own. For the price we paid, we were sorely disappointed 😕

I’ve never experienced such great customer service from the staff! The breakfast was amazing, and they even offered to drive you around to nearby restaurants. I didn’t stay long enough.

We would give an 11 out of 10 if possible. The room, the hotel, the staff, the food—everything and everyone was top shelf. The food was absolutely divine. Nothing to note; it was perfect.

Unglaublich stilvoll mit Liebe zum Detail. Man kann nicht sagen „nicht gefallen“, aber mehr als 2- max. 3 Nächte würde ich nicht machen. Der Reiz geht dann verloren
