Eagles Paradise Abu Soma Resort

The sea was nice, but as soon as we arrived they whisked everyone away to a rundown building overlooking a dump and a construction site, far from the beach – a nightmare! When we protested and walked to the reception, after a few hours of arguing they finally gave us a so‑called bungalow room, which was also subpar, old and filthy. We left for another hotel after two days. The food was cafeteria‑style and there weren’t enough seats; meals were served inside while drinks were handed out outside. They don’t make cocktails – you have to grab the basic ingredients in little cups and mix them yourself. Nobody ever saw the promised turtle, even though everyone kept talking about it, like it’s some Loch Ness monster that never shows up. In short, I wouldn’t recommend this place; nearby Shams is better and cheaper. We regret staying here and feel we wasted our time.

The breakfast is very good and the food overall is nice. The location by a beautiful beach is fantastic. There’s a good massage area, a small gym, a mini souvenir shop, and more shops on the street for shopping enthusiasts, plus a diving company. Overall, I’m very satisfied and had a good holiday. The only downside was the very quietness in the economy building where we stayed; otherwise, it’s okay.

The staff are very kind and helpful, the beach is lovely, and overall we enjoyed our stay. It’s good value for money. The food is tasty but lacks variety. The rooms need renovation and the animation could use improvement.

The lobby gave a bright first impression of Eagles Paradise, but the rest of the property shows its age; overall the hotel runs okay, though we had to figure out the schedule and locations on our own despite the nicely translated info sheet, and many staff spoke a bit of German. The beach area was clean and our stay there was pleasant, though we spent most of our time away diving. We were placed in an older building where the room clearly showed its age – everything worked but looked worn and was only mediocrely maintained. At the buffet, even though the pots were labeled, there were no details about ingredients, allergens, or whether meat was included. When I asked, they offered a tour with the chef who would explain, but he was only present for two meals during our four‑day stay.
