The mountain vegetable dishes were great, but the bath had too few outlets for the dryer.

The water was wonderful; it felt like a dose of earth’s power.

For the price, the food was tasty and I made full use of the hot springs; the dinner shift swap, the free family bath, and the friendly staff all added to my satisfaction. The old building’s size meant some maintenance gaps, but you could see the effort within limits.

A historic hot‑spring ryokan well kept; the medicinal bath was fantastic and the staff were very friendly.
